Spock Monkey???!!!

Are you bored? How about making crafts, Star Trek style~!! You can learn how to make this aborable Spock Monkey!!! You can order all the materials you need to make your own Spock Monkey (for like...$3.00) here!!!!

Dressing up for Work

I work at Goodwill Industries, and for Halloween we have an employee costume contest. I, of course, am going as Mr. Spock. I have a chance to win $300 if I get enough votes! The voting starts October 1st on amazinggoodwill.com and you can vote as many times as yo want! Anyways, I wore my costume to work already and it went over great. I had tons of customers telling me that they would vote for me. I am already being called "Spock" by my fellow employees at work. Now here is a funny story I just heard today:

I was doing my regular worky business at..work and I got called to the office. I sit down and my manager Kristy says, "I just got a call from a very upset customer." I sit there like...okay...upset customer...not cool. She said "Mr. Spock over charged her for a pair of pants". So not only are the employees calling me Spock, so are the customers!! Maybe I should write a book called "I am not Spock".
"Pants? I don't remember selling anyone pants...."

The New Member of the Family

Introducing the newest member of my happy family: Mr. Tribbles. He's small and furry like a Tribble, and he purrs like one too!

The problem with Mr. Tribbles is...if you feed Mr. Tribbles too much, you will have a fat Mr. Tribbles.

Spock kissed a girl...

Inspired by: "This Side of Paradise" and Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl"

This was never the way he planned, not his intention
He got so brave spores in face, lost his discretion
It's not what Vulcan's do, not how they should behave
He's curious for you, hard to obey
Spock kissed a girl and he liked it
the taste of her cherry chap stick
Spock kissed a girl just to try it
hope Captain Kirk don't mind it!

It felt so wrong, it felt so right
don't mean he's in love tonight!

Spock kissed a girl and he liked it!
and he liked it!

Must Haves

Because I like making lists (obviously), I have a list of what I items I would like most from the Star Trek Universe:

-A Tribble (if I get too many of them, then I will have a tribble bonfire!)

-Enterprise shaped salt and pepper shaker (they probably can't hold much, but they are awesome)

-A Vulcan child (because they are super adorable! Of course, I would want one with an attitude problem because that's even more adorable!)

-New Spock's stupid sweater ("Vanessa, how can you like Spock? He's wearing that stupid sweater!" "That sweater is adorable! His mom probably made it for him." Note: After much thought on the issue, I now too find the sweater adorable.)

-Old Spock's Winter Jacket (It was very stylish.)

-3D Chess set (even though there's no way I could figure out how to play the game)

-Spock's robe (from Voyage Home, I would totally wear his robe)

-A Phaser Gun (Mainly so that I can say, "Set phasers to stun.")

That's all I can think of for now. Anything else you can think of?

Favorite Lines

I recently saw Star Trek XI for the fourth time and have thus decided to share with you my favorite lines from the movie, or at least the ones that stand out to me the most and why. So, here's the list:

"Tiberius? That's the worst!"-George Kirk (I don't know, but the way he says it is funny to me.)

"Out of the chair."-Spock (You tell him, Spock!)

"Live long and prosper."-Spock (When he tells the council this and really means f*ck you)

"Dammit man, I'm a doctor, not a physicist!"-Bones (I just love his cranky oldmanness.)

"Are you out of your Vulcan mind?"-Bones (You can't not laugh.)

"You whistle really loud."-Kirk (I actually just love Kirk whenever he gets beat up, since it happens quite a lot in the movie.)

"Hello Christopher, I'm Nero."-Nero (Just the way he says this is like they are going on date or something; it's hilarious.)

"That's weird."-Kirk (After the green alien girl says that she loves him. Kirk is such a player.)

"How? Over your dead body?" "Preferably not."-Kirk and Old Spock (I actually just love everything old Spock says in general. He is amazing.)

Well those are the quotes that I remember most, though I'm sure there are more that I love. What's your favorite quotes from the new Star Trek or any Star Trek in general?

Also, just because I like this line so much (even though it's from the original line and doesn't fit with the theme):

"You gave them to the Klingons?"-Kirk (in the Trouble with Tribbles episode, Kirk's face is hilarious.)

FUN FUN STAR TREK NIGHT!

So my friend Kristi and I (whom i've recently corrupted with Star Trek and who LOVES Leonard Nimoy now) watched some of the best episodes from the series including "The City on the Edge of Forever" and "This Side of Paradise". Both funny yet sad episodes indeed. Now that her mind has been poisoned by the Spockage, she is even pointing out Spock's protruding junk. Let's keep polluting our minds with more Star Trek!

soooo lame

I think there is a definite resemblance, non?

Getting the Spock brows :3

I've been checking my statcounter and have seen that many of my blog viewers are searching for ways to do a Spock costume. Well here is your solution! First we will start with the eyebrows. I found the eyebrows to be a HUGE pain in the butt. I have dark eyebrows so it was really difficult to hide them. If you have light eyebrows, I suggest you use this easy tutorial on "soaping" your eyebrows. It can be found here.

So what did I do for my eyebrows? Well I shaved a 1/4 of my eyebrows off. DO NOT SHAVE YOUR ENTIRE EYEBROW!!!! First of all, it is easy to just draw on the last patch of your eyebrow and still looks kinda real. Since the end part of your eyebrow is gone, you can just use a black colored pencil and draw the curvy Spock eyebrows.

Here are some pictures to use as guides:

shaved off the corners of my eyebrows

<---drew on the rest with a sharpened black eye liner pencil I kind of did a quick sloppy job, but you get the idea. mmmm smexy.

Plato's Stepchildren

Although the episode "Plato's Stepchildren" from season 3 is intriguing in itself, with all the costumes, dancing, laughing, crying, and of course Spock singing, I found quite a few hidden things in this episode that just made it even more...fascinating.

First there is the "Latin Dancing" performed by Mr. Spock himself. Here is a video of the Latin dance scene, courtesy of YouTube.com and Lady GaGa:

Anyways, it looks like Leonard Nimoy is dancing doesn't it? Let's take a closer look:

Well, that doesn't look like Leonard Nimoy to me! That's some Spanish guy! What the heck it's no fun if it's not Nimoy dancing! Oh well just can just pretend that it is.

This is my gem screen capture from this episode. I actually took it on accident believe it or not! See for yourself:

A clear image of Spock's man panties. Just grand. Please bask in its glory. But what is more hilarious is how much the visitor counter goes sky-rocketing when I post something about Spock's butt and his package. Hmm seems like i'm not the only sicko around.

It goes on and on and on and on

I love this video and hope that you do to. Every time I watch it, I want to see Star Trek again. I mean, I've only seen it three times. I need to go again and again, and then maybe once more again before it leaves theaters for good. Or, it needs to come out on DVD very, very soon. Enjoy!

New to the Blog

Hey Everyone! I am TheAmazingArizona, and I'm contributing to the blog for the first time. General introduction: Growing up, I was a Star Wars girl, but I was inspired by the latest Star Trek movie to explore old Star Trek episodes. I starting watching them and found them incredibly entertaining. I still have yet to see every single episode (sorry!), but plan to do so soon. I've also seen a lot of Voyager and Star Trek IV, which is an amazing video. (Hello, Computer!) Okay, I'm nowhere near as informed about Star Trek as Vaness (KaitouCoon), but I'm working on it! I plan on finishing the original series and Voyager, then maybe venture into Deep Space or Next Gen. I also need to watch the other movies, and if Vaness ever loans it to me, I want to read "I am Spock". Otherwise, yeah, look for updatings from me when I'm bored (which happens a lot).
